Learn more about the different options below.
A bottom bracket on a BMX bike is the component that connects the crankset to the bike, allowing the crank set to turn freely. The bottom bracket has a spindle attached which connects to the crankset. Bearings are the component that allow both the spindle and cranks to rotate, with the chain rings and pedals attached to the crank shaft also.
We offer a range of bottom bracket bearing kits for BMX bikes, including hybrid ceramic, steel and stainless steel.
The hub is the central part of the wheels, found at the front and rear of the bike. The hub connects to the wheels rim using the spoke, with the axle fitted through the hub. This allows the wheel to spin freely using two sets of BMX bearings.
As bicycles have two wheels, front and rear, they also have front and rear specific hubs. These can be purchased online from Aire Velo Bearings (sold separately and as a pair).
The BMX headset is the component that provides a rotatable interface between the fork and the head tube of the frame.
